Ellen Doty is a soulful Canadian vocalist and songwriter with a world-class voice. Her music incorporates everything from pop and jazz to soul, folk, and indie music: a sound that is uniquely hers. A true storyteller whose works are as intimate and as personal as their handwritten lyrics, Ellen’s immense talent for songwriting is only complemented by her stunning vocals. Rich, sultry, and sweet, Ellen’s voice draws listeners in and takes them on an unforgettable journey. After over two years of writing and experimentation, Doty is heading off in a bold new direction with her sophomore release, “Come Fall”. This album features solely the unique sounds of a trio: voice, drums, and piano. It’s raw, and beautifully spacious. Doty recently signed with Alma Records (distributed in Canada by Universal Music), and her new album, Come Fall, was released worldwide on March 2, 2018 followed by a Canadian tour. This past year, she had the opportunity to open for Grammy-winner Gregory Porter, and was named one of the top 35 jazz artists in Canada by CBC Music along with BadBadNotGood, Larnell Lewis, Nikki Yanofsky and more.

市川愛 :
神奈川県藤沢生まれ。 ５歳よりピアノ、バイオリンを始め、慶應義塾大学（環境情報学部）卒業後、ジャズやR&B、シティポップ等、アーバンなフィーメール・ヴォーカルに目醒め、2009年バークリー音楽院に奨学金を得て留学（2012年に卒業）、途中、交換留学制度によってギリシャへの滞在を期に旅を愛するようになり、これまでトルコ、イタリア、パレスチナ、イスラエル、ハワイ、フランス、ケニア等々、相反する文化や風土の国々に一人旅を行っている（一人旅以外も含めると、４０カ国以上に渡る）。 帰国後、ギタリスト平岡遊一郎をプロデューサーに迎え、JAZZ SINGERとして３枚のソロアルバムをリリース。吉田美奈子や佐藤奈々子、尾崎亜美といった東京の女性AORやフォークのディーヴァ達を思わせるコケティッシュかつアンチ・ロリータな声質と歌唱法、ルックス等によって、タワーレコードの「いまどきのいい女」、「Tower Jazz Campaign」などで取り上げられ注目を浴びた。平岡遊一郎の他にも、ジャズピアニスト森田真奈美とのコラボレーションもレギュラー活動化している。 一方、ジャズミュージシャン/文筆家/プロデューサーの菊地成孔が最初に製作したヒップホップアルバムで、コーラスワークを担当中、ラッパーとして指名され、覆面フィーメール・ラッパー「I.C.I」として初めてのラップを録音、バイリンガル（英語）の能力やラップ・ビギナーの舌ったらずなアクセントを生かした、市川愛とは全く別の、国籍不明のアンドロイド・ビッチなキャラクターを確立、菊池の様々な活動にフィーチュアリングされている。ナレーターとしても、ユニクロや、ハインツのテレビCMなどで活躍中。 I.C.Iはその後、菊池プロデュースの下、英語ヴォーカリストとしても活動を始め、菊池がOSTを担当した「機動戦士ガンダム/サンダーボルト」の劇中歌の歌唱、多くの訳詞（日本語→英語）も担当し、2018年4月から始まるNHKドラマ” Daisy Luck” の挿入歌の英詞の、作詞、歌唱も担当している。リクルートへの就職経験があり、母親が経営する会社でのビジネスサポート歴も長く、フルマラソンを3回完走している。 2018 年 4 月 11 日、日本語で歌う「市川愛」本来の姿で、音楽上のメンターでもある浜田真理子から楽曲提供を受け、菊地成孔プロデュースにより SONY Music からメジャーデビュー。クールジャパンに食傷 気味な音楽界で、今最も注目すべきアーバン・ミュージックの女性シンガー。
AI ICHIKAWA (Singer-songwriter)
Ai was born in Kanagawa, Japan and started playing piano and violin at the age of five. After she graduated Keio University, she attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston from 2009 to 2012. While studying in Berklee, she started singing jazz professionally at bars and restaurants. In 2010, she received a scholarship and went to Greece as an exchange student. During her stay in Greece, she started traveling not only in Europe but also to countries in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Until now, she has traveled to more than 40 countries. In 2012, Ai returned to Japan and released three jazz albums produced by guitarist Yuichiro Hiraoka. Attracting attention for her unique coquettish voice and looks, Ai’s CD was picked up and appeared in many Tower Records’ magazines. When Naruyoshi Kikuchi (jazz musician, writer, producer) asked her to be a background singer on his first hip-hop album, he also asked her to rap on the hip-hop tracks during recording. Though it was her first time to rap, Naruyoshi Kikuchi named her as female rapper “ I.C.I “. I.C.I is characterized as an android girl of unknown nationality who always wears sunglasses when she performs on stage. I.C.I is a totally different character from the singer Ai Ichikawa, both characters are often featured in Naruyoshi Kikuchi productions. I.C.I aka Ai Ichikawa wrote the English lyrics and sang on the sound track for “Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt” produced by Naruyoshi Kikuchi. Ai released her major debut album “My love, with my short hair” through Sony Music in April 2018 which was also produced by Naruyoshi Kikuchi.
