【About the event】

After 3 year COVID-induced hiatus, Wild Stomp is finally ready to release their 1st EP “Level 1”. In only 3 songs they pay homage to the Jazz, Funk and Soul that enriches their day-to-day. In collaboration with MTM, they will celebrate the release of “Level 1” at the brilliant Haremame in Daikanyama, and they’re bringing friends. The Philippines own wonderful Reese Lansangan will be bringing her deeply contemplative and introspective songmanship. America’s gorgeous Chloe Kibble will be honoring us with her astoundingly saccharine Jazz stylings. If that wasn’t enough, England’s Jet Axel will be providing the backbone of the evening with his many and varied Hip Hop and Funk beats.

3年間のCOVID-19による休止期間の後、Wild Stompがついに1st EP「Level 1」をリリースする準備が整いました。たった3曲で、ジャズ、ファンク、ソウルに敬意を表し、彼らの日常に豊かさをもたらしている音楽を楽しめます。彼らはMTMと協力し、代官山の素晴らしいハレマメで「Level 1」のリリースを祝い、友達も招待します。フィリピン出身の素晴らしいシンガーソングライター、レーゼ・ランサンガンが、深く考えさせられるような内省的な歌声を披露します。また、アメリカの才女クロエ・キブルが、その驚くほど甘いジャズのスタイルで私たちを魅了します。さらに、イングランド出身のジェット・アクセルが、彼の多彩なヒップホップやファンクのビートで、イベントのバックボーンを提供します。

Chloe Kibble

Eluding the confines of any one style, Chloe Kibble embraces her love for all Black music as she shares her craft with Tokyo. Originally from Nashville, TN Chloe grew up in a gospel/jazz-filled household, her father a member of acapella group Take6 and her mother a former gospel singer. Chloe began her music career with her fusion band at Brown University, “richard”, and continued gigs with them in NYC. In Japan, Chloe has been doing local shows with established artists, session work with Jpop giants, writing and performing with the band PAJAUMI, and now embarks on producing her first original album.

クロエは、大学時代、ジャンルフリーで活動する「richard」というバンドで音楽のキャリアをスタート。父親がグラミー賞を何度も受賞している「Take 6」のメンバーなため、その影響で幼少期から多くのゴスペルやジャズを聴いて育った。日本に移住する前は、ニューヨークはブルックリンの「Arlene’s Grocery」というクラブで毎週行われていたR&B/Hip Hop/Soul系ジャムセッションにおいて、「Honey Trap」というハウスバンドで出演をしていた。日本では、ショーやジャムセッションを行い、「SEKAI NO OWARI」などのバックコーラスやTVCMのボーカル、「パジャマで海なんか行かない」とのパフォーマンスなどでプロ活動をスタートさせている。2021年には、初のオリジナル曲のアルバムをリリース予定。

Reese Lansagan

レーゼ・ランサンガンは、マニラ出身のインディペンデント・ポップフォークシンガーソングライター、ビジュアルアーティスト、著者、そして多数の賞を受賞しているクリエイティブアーティストです。

フィリピンのインディーシーンで先駆者の一人であるレーゼは、彼女の音楽を日本、シンガポール、ニュージーランド、そしてアメリカなどの海外にも広めています。彼女のデビューアルバム「Arigato, Internet!」からの「A Song About Space」は、NASAの歴史的な#LaunchAmericaキャンペーンビデオに使用されました。

2018年には、彼女はParamoreのTour Fourでオープニングアクトを務め、フロントウーマンのヘイリー・ウィリアムズから賞賛を受けました。彼女はまた、Oh WonderのUltralife Tour in Manilaでオープニングアクトを務め、The Temper Trap、LANY、Purity Ring、Explosions in the Skyなどのアーティストと共演しました。

Reese Lansangan is an independent pop-folk singer-songwriter, visual artist, author, and multi-awarded creative from Manila.

A trailblazer in the Philippine indie scene, Reese has brought her music to international shores like Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, and the USA. “A Song About Space” from her debut album “Arigato, Internet!” was chosen by NASA for their historic #LaunchAmerica campaign videos.

In 2018, she opened for Paramore’s Tour Four and garnered praise from frontwoman Hayley Williams. She also opened for Oh Wonder’s Ultralife Tour in Manila, and has shared the stage with artists such as The Temper Trap, LANY, Purity Ring and Explosions in the Sky.

She takes slices of life and spin them into head-bopping melodies and heartwarming confessionals. With her signature wit and vocal looping prowess, Reese commands the stage and connects with people who appreciate general weirdness, injected into pop earworms.

In May 2021, she released her highly anticipated sophomore album, Time Well Spent.
