ふりがなはミーマイモー。8歳からシンガポール、14歳からカリフォルニアに暮らし、2005年18歳で帰国。2006年から弾き語りを中心とした音楽活動を東京で展開。英語と日本語のリズムを行き来しながら日々の移ろいを歌にしている。2014年、約2年間の活動休止期間を経て発表された宅録作品『Safe Mode』がじんわりと好評を得る。エマーソン北村と共作で1枚、ドラムを迎えてEPを１枚、その他シングルや他アーティストとの合作をリリースしつつ、弾き語りでのソロライブを精力的に続ける。2025年、弾き語りを主としたソロアルバム『Burnt』をSweet Dreams Pressよりリリース。ギターは京都のRivertone Instruments製作。

活動は少ないが見汐麻衣とのユニット・アニス＆ラカンカ(2012~)の他、oono yuuki band(2009~2023)、VIDEOTAPEMUSIC(2019~)、Exne Kedy and The Poltergeists(2020~)などにフルート、コーラスで参加。

mmm (pronounced me-my-mo) is the moniker for Tokyo-based singer-songwriter Moe Ishii. She spent her adolescence in Singapore and California before returning to Tokyo in 2005 where she has built her musical career since. Bilingual in Japanese and English, she moves naturally between the rhythms of both languages with lyrics and melodies that feel effortless and genuine. Often compared to artists like Cat Power and Feist, her sound is both delicate and resolute, the sparse guitar and vocals carry controlled intimacy that draws in the audiences’ will to listen. In addition to her solo project, she collaborates with a wide range of artists contributing chorus and flute to their recordings and live performances.
